State Secretary meets Regional Director of Open Society Foundations

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ D.Davaasuren, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, met with Binaifer Nowrojee, Regional Director for Asia Pacific at Open Society Foundations, on October 6.
During the meeting, State Secretary D.Davaasuren expressed his gratitude towards Open Society Foundation for their support and cooperation with the International Cooperation Fund (ICF). They exchanged views on the importance of previous actions and future cooperation as well.
In frames of the ICF, which was established in order to share Mongolia's practice in democracy, human rights and market economy with other developing countries, and cooperation with Open Society Foundation, Mongolia held several international events in 2015-2017 and reached certain results, highlighted State Secretary D.Davaasuren.
The ICF, in cooperation with Open Society Foundation, will hold international conference under the theme 'Issues of constitutional amendment: Mongolia's example' in Ulaanbaatar on October 18-19. During the conference, open discussions will be held on improving the process of constitutional amendments and supporting right development of NGOs, and participants will exchange views with local and foreign officials, scholars, representatives of civil society and international organizations.
