Air pollution reportedly reduced by 49.6 percent

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Officials of the Emergency Management Agency of the Capital City has assessed the supply and distribution of refined fuel at 359 sales points located in six districts of the capital city. Chairman of the Disaster Prevention Division of the agency, Colonel G.Nergui said, “Compared to how it was initially, ger area residents have learned how to properly use refined fuel. We are currently focusing on the supply, distribution, usage of the fuel, and monitoring raw coal.”
Noting that a study is being done on the impact of air quality on citizens’ health, the officials also reported that pollution has reduced by 49.6 percent compared to previous years.
