Artist Amarsanaa Presents Fifth Solo Exhibition “FIFTY”

Ulaanbaatar, April 23, 2026 /MONTSAME/. Artist Amarsanaa Lhagva’s solo exhibition “FIFTY” is now open to the public at the Art Gallery of the Union of Mongolian Artists.


The exhibition marks the fifth solo show in his artistic career and features around 150 works. These include 50 watercolor paintings, 50 graphic works, and 50 calligraphy and other mixed-format pieces. It is notable for bringing together selected works spanning 30 years of the artist’s creative journey, from his student years to the present.


Amarsanaa studied from 1994 to 1999 under State Honored Artist of Mongolia and Professor Oyunchimeg Ya., receiving professional training in graphic art. His teacher, Oyunchimeg Ya., is recognized as a prominent master of Mongolian graphic and watercolor art whose works are held in the state collection and who trained many students.


The “FIFTY” exhibition presents a wide range of graphic techniques, including metal engraving, woodcut, linocut, monotype, ink drawing, and calligraphy.


In his work, Amarsanaa combines artistic methods, compositional approaches, and visual characteristics inherited from his teacher with a contemporary style.


He has also participated in exhibitions and cultural events in more than 20 countries, contributing to the international promotion of Mongolian fine arts.


The exhibition will continue through April 30, 2026.
