SDMWA to Work with Germany’s SPD Women

April 24, 2026 /MONTSAME/. The Chairwoman of the Social Democratic Mongolian
Women’s Association (SDMWA) under the Mongolian People’s Party (MPP), Member of
Parliament Uuriintuya Dorjsuren, met with the Chairwoman of SPD Women, the women’s
wing under the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD), Member of the Bundestag
Carmen Wegge, and exchanged views on cooperation.
During the
meeting, both sides presented their main operational areas, policies, and goals and discussed potential areas for future cooperation. Moreover,
they discussed common challenges faced by women globally and cooperation to increase women’s social and political participation and empowerment, and to expand education.
The two sides
agreed on the importance of establishing a memorandum of understanding as a
foundation of cooperation, sharing of mutual experiences, and intensifying
cooperation.
PSD Women, established
in 1972, has almost 150,000 members. Its chairpersons are members of the Bundestag,
Carmen Wegge and Ulrike Häfner.
