Male and female heads of households decrease
SocietyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The number of female-headed households reached 78.6 thousand in 2015, decreasing by 2,232 or 2.8%, and the number of male-headed households was 20.7 thousand, declining by 1,639 or 7.3% against 2014.
In the year 2015, 45.1 thousand of the female-headed households have up to three children, 27.0 thousand households--3-5 children, 6.6 thousand households--six or more children.
At a national level in 2015, the number of families with six or more members reached 81.0 thousand, increasing by 11,787 or 17.0% against 2014, and the number of single elders reached 33.0 thousand, going up by 5,941 or 22.0% against 2014. The number of families with four or more children aged up to 18 years old was 36.1 thousand in 2015, showing a decline of 4,205 or 10.4% compared to 2014.
