Roundtable meeting held between Mongolia and S.Korean journalists

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A roundtable entitled “Mongolia-South Korea cooperation in media and journalism” was held on Monday in the Ulaanbaatar hotel on occasion of the fourth anniversary of the ties between the Confederation of Mongolian Journalists (CMJ) and the Korean Journalist Association (KJA).

The meeting was attended by the South Korean media delegates including Jung Kyu Sung, the KJA president; vice presidents of the KJA; authorities of “The Joong Bu Maeil”, “MBC”, “Gyeongi-gi ILbo”, “The Kyunghyang Daily News F”, who are visiting here at the invitation of S.Altantsetseg, the CMJ executive director.

“Our cooperation have broadened last four years. In scope of the cooperation, we have shared experiences, and co-organized trips of journalists to get familiar with each other’s history, culture, customs and the media sector. This time, our group arrived here with a big composition to see Mongolian media organizations, their daily activities as well as a Mongolian development. I am confident that media organizations of our countries will find out easier ways of cooperation,” the KJA president said.

At the meeting, the CMJ president B.Galaarid pointed out that the countries have a chance to co-create new contents in a way of analyzing the countries’ history, culture, tradition and media situation.

In last May, 10 Mongolian journalists visited the Republic of Korea, while the visit of the Korean journalists will continue here for a week.
