Internal migration halt extended

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Due to the second ballot of 2017 Presidential election of Mongolia taking place on July 7, internal migration halt has been extended further.
In accordance with the unified law on Elections, the citizen’s internal migration registration was halted since April 27 to be restored after the Presidential election on June 27. However, due to the fact that no candidates have received the majority of votes (50%+1), a second round of the election is scheduled on July 7, Friday, extending the nationwide halt to July 10.
An order was given to the State Registrars to finish previously registered migrations to the online civil registration system until the designated time and Heads of State Registration Department of Aimags, Soums and Districts to monitor the process.
