Promotion of national culture and arts abroad discussed

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ In the framework of the Mongolia's Overseas Promotion Program, a regular discussion with theme "Mongolian Foreign Promotion - National Culture and Arts" was held on September 22 in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The discussion was organized jointly by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports, the Mongoliin Goo Yertonts Society and other cultural and art organizations. Well-known art and cultural figures, and artists participated in the discussion, exchanging their ideas on promoting Mongolia abroad through national culture and arts.
The participants noted the importance of national culture in promoting Mongolia abroad positively and shared their views on how to publicize national arts and culture to the world. They emphasized necessity of united policy for the promotion.
As a part of the discussion, a musical ‘Maral’, which is combination of ethnic heritage and modern dances, will be staged open to public at the State Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet on September 23. The musical will be played by the "Khan Bogd" ensemble, which has presented national arts to over 40 countries around the world.
