Ulaanbaatar, September 17, 2025 /MONTSAME/. Mongolian junior contortionists have earned international recognition by winning prestigious awards at the 3rd International Festival “Artist”, a major circus competition held in Moscow, the Russian Federation, from September 11 to 14, 2025.
Artists from over 20 countries participated, showcasing a diverse range of acts that include aerial performances, acrobatics, clowning, juggling, and animal-free shows. The festival features both junior and professional categories, and awards are given to outstanding performers – including trophies named after legendary Russian circus artist and film actor Yuri Nikulin.
Mongolian contortionists trained at Otgoo Studio competed in the junior category of the international circus festival and were awarded the bronze trophy.
Earlier this year, in June, Mongolian circus artists D. Azjargal and B. Batchimeg showcased their aerial talents at the 11th International Women’s Circus Competition in Saratov, Russia. Their performance earned them the “Silver Crown”, highlighting Mongolia’s strong presence in the global circus arts scene.
