Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On November 24, Sengdeuane Lachanthaboune, Minister of Education and Sports of Lao People’s Democratic Republic paid an official visit to Mongolia at an invitation of her Mongolian counterpart Ts. Tsogzolmaa.
During the visit, education ministers held official talks and signed an agreement on renewed student exchange program. At the meeting, the ministers discussed about widening bilateral relations and cooperation in educational sector and expressed their positions on student exchanges and cooperation between universities of the two countries.
Two countries started exchanging their students from 1976. So far, about 60 students of two countries have been involved in the student exchange program under intergovernmental scholarship.
It was a first visit of Lao Minister of Education and Sports to Mongolia.
