‘Coppelia’ comic ballet to be staged

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ ‘Coppelia’ or ‘The Girl With The Enamel Eyes’ comic ballet by famous French composer Leo Delibes is to be staged on the State Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet on May 26-27.
The Coppelia premiered on May 25, 1870 at the Paris Opera and the last French romantic ballet. It is also considered as a masterpiece of Arthur Saint-Leon.
Ballerina G.Margad-Erdene will play be dancing the principal role of Swanhilda while Franz and Coppelius will be performed by ballet dancers D.Natsagdorj and Kh.Ganbaatar.
