‘Bogd Khaan of Mongolia, the Eighth Jebtsundamba Khutughtu’ exhibition opens

ceremony was held on May 1 to open an exhibition titled ‘Bogd Khaan of
Mongolia, the Eighth Jebtsundamba Khutughtu’ at the National Museum of
Mongolia. The exhibition is one of the events being organized according to the decree of the President
of Mongolia on nationwide celebration of the 150th birth
anniversary of Bogd Khaan.
The launching ceremony was attended by Director of the
National Museum of Mongolia Mr
D.Sukhbaatar, President of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences D.Regdel and
Khamba Lama of Gandantegchenlin Monastery D.Choijamts.

The exhibition is showcasing precious
historical exhibits, including
the Bogd Khaan’s
possessions, biography, creations, religious books, teachings, orders, letters
and photos.

The Bogd Khaan devoted his life to
restoring the independence of Mongolia, gaining international recognition,
promoting the Tibetan Buddhism in the rightest ways and keeping Mongolians’ mind untainted.
The
organizers emphasized that the exhibition has
a great significance in
enriching the historical knowledge of the young generation.
The exhibition is opened throughout this
month.
