Second Day of the National Naadam Festival

Ulaanbaatar, July 11, 2023 /MONTSAME/ On the second day of the National Naadam Festival today the Grand Opening Ceremony of the Naadam Festival took place at the Central Stadium, where the President of Mongolia Ukhnaa Khurelsukh delivered opening remarks and paid respect to the Great White Banners.
This year marks the 2232th Anniversary of establishment of
the First Statehood in Mongolia, 817th Anniversary of the Great Mongol Empire,
112th Anniversary of Restoration of National Independence and Freedom, and
102nd Anniversary of People’s Revolution of Mongolia.
Above five-year-old horse (Ikh nas) and Stallion horse races were held today at Khui Doloon Khudag, while round 1-2 of the Wrestling tournament, final matches of National Khana Archery tournament and semi-final of Knucklebone shooting tournament took place at the Archery field and the Knucklebone shooting field at the Central Stadium.
Besides the Three Manly Games various events were held, including “Cultural Naadam” Festival and “Khukhuuriin Airag” Festival at Khui Doloon Khudag. "Ulaanbaatar Night" show is taking place now at the Sukhbaatar Square and when the Show ends at 24:00 Naadam Festival Gun salute will be performed at Sukhbaatar Square and Children's Palace of Mongolia.
