Revised Version of the Occupational Safety and Health Law to Be Submitted During the Parliament’s Spring Session
SocietyUlaanbaatar, January 13, 2025 /MONTSAME/. On January 10, 2025, Minister of Family, Labor, and Social Protection of Mongolia Enkh-Amgalan Luvsantseren met with Board Members of the Confederation of Mongolian Trade Unions (CMTU).
The CMTU members have proposed reforming policies by improving the wage system, controlling artificial inflation, and effectively implementing occupational and health laws across all sectors. The Ministry of Family, Labor, and Social Protection will organize a meeting of the National Tripartite Committee of Labor and Social Consensus in the near future to discuss its 2025 plan and present the concept of the planned revision of the sector's legislation.
The meeting participants discussed organizing a nationwide inspection of the implementation of labor laws and occupational safety and health laws. This will improve the current prevention and rehabilitation services in the occupational safety and health sector, as well as the insurance system.
Furthermore, the Ministry plans to introduce a revised version of the Occupational Safety and Health Law at the 2025 Spring Session of the State Great Khural (Parliament) and make system reforms in the sector.
