Ulaanbaatar Signs Agreement with Korea Air Cleaning Association to Improve City’s Air Quality

Ulaanbaatar, October 31, 2025 /MONTSAME/. The Department of Against Air and Environmental Pollution has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Korea Air Cleaning Association (KACA), marking an important milestone toward improving air quality in Ulaanbaatar on October 30, 2025.
KACA plays a central role in promoting air purification technologies and improving indoor air quality standards in the Republic of Korea.
According to the Governor's Office of the Capital City, Ulaanbaatar, the agreement aims to enhance indoor air quality management, build collaboration, and establish a comprehensive system for monitoring and improving air conditions.
The partnership is grounded in both parties agreeing to share personnel and material resources, provide policy and technological support, and facilitate training and information exchange.
Key areas of cooperation include establishing an air quality testing and measurement center, supplying air purifiers to improve indoor environments, conducting joint research and expert exchanges, and expanding training programs and technical collaboration.
This initiative is expected to improve environmental cooperation between Mongolia and South Korea, strengthen partnerships, and support sustainable urban development.
