Money supply decreases in January
EconomyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Bank of Mongolia reported Wednesday that money supply reached 9.8 trillion MNT last month, decreasing 4.5 percent against the same period of 2015.
This decrease mainly reflected declines in non-saving money by 0.1 percent, and 2.0 percent decrease in currency reserve.
Savings in Mongolian Togrog made up 53.9 percent, savings in foreign currencies–20.1%, current Togrog accounts–11.4%, current accounts in foreign exchange–9.6%, and non-savings money made up 4.9% of the total money supply.
