Mongolia to host next World Congress of Poets
Art & CultureUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The 36th World Congress of Poets took place in Prague on September 15-20. Mongolia was represented by the celebrated poets G.Mend-Ooyo, U.Khurelbaatar, M.Saruuldalai and L.Molomjamts.
U.Khurelbaatar became the second runner-up in the poem category. At the end of the congress, aside Mongolia, the USA, Mexico, Mongolia, Colombia and China candidate for the right to host the next congress at home.
Mongolia won the favor of majority and was appointed the host of the 37th World Congress of Poets, due next year.
