Barber of Seville to be staged in new style

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The State Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet will perform the Barber of Seville by Gioachino Rossini on October 28-29.
Considered as one of the famous opera buffas, the premiere of Rossini's opera--the Barber of Seville took place on 20 February 1816 at the Teatro Argentina, Rome. The Mongolian theatre will stage the opera in a new style by Stefano Monti, an Italian producer. According to the new style, the opera’s plot will be showed in a modern time of the 19th century.

People’s Artist A.Dashpeljee will work as the artistic director, Stefano Monti--as the director, Ts.Gansukh--as the conductor, G.Ganbaatar--as the camera operator, G.Oyun--as the costume designer.
Ticket prices will be MNT 10,000, MNT 20,000 and MNT 30,000.
