Selenge aimag granted portable digital X-ray apparatus

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ With the support of the Ministry of Health and funding of Global Fund Mongolia, Selenge aimag received a portable digital X-ray apparatus and made its first diagnosis in Javkhlant soum.
An official ceremony to receive the advanced technology apparatus, held on February 20, was attended by A. Oyunbileg, Global Fund Coordinator, J.Saintsog, deputy Governor of the aimag, J.Od, head of Health Department, and other officials. The aimag Governor's office set an aim to become ‘Tuberculosis-free Selenge’ by 2020-2024 and the digital apparatus will play an important role for it.
Within the program ‘Tuberculosis-free Selenge’, more than 10 thousand people, including from educational and cultural organizations, police and border military units, market places and citizens of nine soums and others have been involved in the chest X-ray scanning.
