Legal framework for business and investment to be enhanced
EconomyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On May 18, Members of Parliament G.Amartuvshin, Kh.Bulgantuya, Kh.Gankhuyag, and D.Unurbolor held a meeting with representatives of the business sector at the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MNCCI).
During the meeting, they highlighted the necessity of improving the business environment as well as public-private partnership, and making significant changes in the economic and investment legislation. Furthermore, it was decided to increase the involvement of experts in developing the draft bill and its discussion.
The sides also discussed cooperating in the development of the draft bill on Amendment to the Law on Investment using a new platform, and the necessity of drafting a law on trade as the issue regarding legal framework for the trade sector continues to persist. Moreover, they agreed that the research and initiative of professional associations are crucial for economic recovery in the long term.
MNCCI President O.Amartuvshin, CEO T.Duuren, Executive Director of the American Chamber of Commerce in Mongolia O.Adiya, CEO of the Business Council of Mongolia U.Unenburen, CEO of the Mongolian Information and Communication Operator’s Association U.Tamir, and CEO of the Mongolian Bankers Association L.Amar participated in the meeting and exchanged views.
