‘Erdenes Tavantolgoi’ JSC Trades 32,000 Tons of Thermal Coal

Ulaanbaatar, September 3, 2025 /MONTSAME/. ‘Erdenes Tavantolgoi’ JSC successfully traded 32,000 tons of thermal coal, equivalent to five lots, at USD 46.20 per ton through the Mongolian Stock Exchange on September 2, 2025.
Two participants took part in the trading, and the 32,000 tons of thermal coal were sold on the condition of delivery to the Gashuunsukhait-Gantsmod port of the People’s Republic of China.
During the first half of 2025, the company conducted 20 electronic trading sessions, selling 1.3 million tons of coal and generating MNT 2.5 trillion in revenue. Of this, MNT 1.1 trillion represented net profit. The company paid MNT 742.2 billion in taxes to the state budget, contributing to economic growth and increasing foreign currency reserves. In the same period, it extracted 13.8 million tons of coal and exported 10.2 million tons. Since February 2023, ‘Erdenes Tavantolgoi’ JSC has been selling coal exclusively through the Mongolian Stock Exchange openly and transparently, under border-delivery conditions.
