Mongolia, Türkiye Explore Deeper Cooperation in Agriculture and Light Industry

Ulaanbaatar, September 24, 2025 /MONTSAME/. Minister of Food, Agriculture, and Light Industry of Mongolia, Enkhbayar Jadamba, held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Türkiye to Mongolia, Başak Genç Yüksel, to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation in the light industry.


During the meeting, the two sides explored opportunities to simplify veterinary and sanitary documentation procedures to facilitate the export of Mongolian sheep, goats, horses, beef, and related by-products to Türkiye.


The importance of promoting joint efforts in crop cultivation, agricultural investment, and the implementation of mutually beneficial projects was also noted.


Joint scientific research, professional training programs, and the introduction of new technologies were also discussed as key areas of cooperation.


Mongolia’s strengths in wool, cashmere, and raw material exports were highlighted as areas with significant potential.  


Ambassador Başak Genç Yüksel reaffirmed Türkiye’s commitment to deepening its traditional ties and strategic partnership with Mongolia, expressing readiness to collaborate across all sectors and deepen the bonds between the peoples of the two countries.


The meeting concluded with a shared understanding of the importance of enhancing collaboration in the livestock and light industry sectors. Both sides agreed to move forward with joint initiatives in the near future.
