'Burte Chono 2025' Mongolia’s Top Sports Awards Ceremony Set for December 10

Ulaanbaatar, November 3, 2025 /MONTSAME/. The Mongolian National Olympic Committee (MNOC) has scheduled the “Burte Chono 2025” Top Sports Awards Ceremony, the highest national honor recognizing outstanding achievements in sports, for December 10, 2025.
First introduced in 2003, the “Burte Chono” Awards have become a prestigious tradition in Mongolia’s sports community. The inaugural laureate was Honored Athlete of Mongolia, Purevbaatar Oyunbilleg. Each year, the best male and female athletes, as well as the top team, are selected by votes from members of the Mongolian Sports Press Association.
For
reference, last year’s “Athlete of the Year” title went to Olympic silver medalist
and World Judo Champion Baasankhuu Bavuudorj.
