Enterprises Have Reserves to Export 162,000 Tonnes of Meat

/MONTSAME/. Meat and meat product exporting enterprises have the capacity
to export a total of 162,000 tonnes of meat during 2025–2026.
Currently, 59 enterprises have
already exported 51,000 tonnes of meat and meat products worth USD 211.2
million. As of October 27, 2025, permission had been granted to export 57,099
head of small livestock alive, of which 43,000 head have already been exported,
according to Jambaltseren Tumur-Uya, State Secretary of the Ministry of Food,
Agriculture and Light Industry, during a meeting of the Parliament’s Standing
Committee on Environment, Food and Agriculture.
Converted to sheep units, Mongolia
has exported the equivalent of 2.8 million head of livestock, including 26,565
head to the Republic of Uzbekistan and 2,680 head to the People’s Republic of
China.
