Project on policy support for decentralization to be implemented
PoliticsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A cooperation contract has been established between the Ministry of Finance and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) to realize a project on policy support for decentralization.
This is a part of the second phase of the program launched from April of this year on backing governance of the Mongolian government and decentralization with financial support of the SDC.
The contract was signed on Tuesday by Mr G.Ganbold, a Deputy Head of the Cabinet Secretariat for Government and Mr Markus Waldvogel, the SDC Director and General Consul of Switzerland to Mongolia.
To be realized for three years and six months, the project aims to make a basic condition for strengthening a system of the decentralization which is fully fitted in Mongolian characteristics. Moreover, the project is focused on making the local management orientation, responsibilities and administrative authority more precise, and refining upon the policy documents, laws, regulations and other legal documents regarding equal distribution of reserves.
