Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The State Secretary of the Mongolian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, D.Davaasuren received last Friday the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Mongolia, U Sung.

At the meeting, the sides exchanged views on simplifying the conditions of mutual travels for nationals of the two countries and on exploring opportunities for visa-free travel in the nearest future. After this, Mr Davaasuren handed over an official request  on granting multiple-entry visas to leaders and workers of Mongolian enterprises which pay more than 500 million togrogs in tax each year to the government of Mongolia.

Then he emphasized that the consultative meeting between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia and the Republic of Korea plays an important role in expanding bilateral economic relations and cooperation, increasing investment, protecting the legal rights of Mongolian citizens traveling and living in South Korea, and fostering bilateral consular cooperation. Also, the parties agreed to organize the consultative meeting  in the first half of 2017. “Currently, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia is working on stimulating consular ties, protecting the rights of Mongolians living abroad, and providing fast access to the public services,” D.Davaasuren went on. He also noted that the request on issuing multiple-entry visas to Mongolian tax-payers was the Mongolian government's decision to support  their business cooperation, and international trade.
