Prime Minister receives French Ambassador

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On March 5, Prime Minister of Mongolia U.Khurelsukh received Ambassador of the French Republic to Mongolia Philippe Merlin.

Prime Minister expressed appreciation for the development of joint roadmap for Comprehensive Partnership with France. He also confirmed that the invitation for the French Prime Minister to visit Mongolia still stands, highlighting the importance of mutual high level visits in the development of bilateral relations and cooperation.

PM U.Khurelsukh requested to focus on promotion of Mongolian products in the French market, export increase through the European Union GSP+ trade discount system and development of cooperation between the enterprises of the two countries.

Ambassador Philippe Merlin expressed his satisfaction with the development and expansion of bilateral relations and cooperation. He also highlighted Mongolia’s economic growth and growing interest of foreign investors as a result of the Government policy and actions.

The parties exchanged views on cooperation and implementation of projects in renewable energy, defense, emergency, satellite, infrastructure, agriculture, tourism, culture and education sectors.
