Preliminary balance of payment for April, 2019

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ In the first quarter of 2019,
current and capital account balance deficit by preliminary result reached to
USD 277.4 million, decreased by USD 70.8 million compared to the same period of
last year.
Current account deficit reached USD 297.6 million, which
was mainly due to USD 553.2 million deficit in services account and USD 196.2
million deficit in primary account.
In the first quarter of 2019, capital account surplus
reached USD 20.2 million, increased by USD 8.5 million or 71.9 percent compared
to the same period of previous year.
Financial account surplus reached USD 318.5 million,
increased by USD 79.4 million compared to the same period of previous year. Overall
balance of payment was in surplus of USD 219 million, increased by USD 261.2
million compared to the same period of previous year.
