Deputy Agriculture Minister works in France

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Delegates led by Deputy Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry J.Saule paid working visit to the French Republic on May 23-30.

During the visit, the delegates participated in the 87th General Session of the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE), met and exchanged views with the delegates from Japan, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan.

Mongolian delegation met with French Minister for Agriculture and Food Didier Guillaume and his Consultant Responsible for Food Bruno Ferreira. The French side expressed gratitude for Mongolia’s concerted effort in finalizing the certificate of hygiene for live cattle export from France and expressed willingness to promote registration of Mongolian agriculture products with Geographical Indications. Deputy Minister J.Saule pledged to provide legal support for permits for sheep medicine imported from France and emphasized the importance of renewal of 2003 Document on Agriculture Cooperation. The sides signed Memorandum of Cooperation in Veterinary sector.


Delegates also visited Montbeliard and Limousine farms, learning experience in small and medium sized meat and dairy production.
