Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On the occasion of International Children’s Day the Independent Authority Against Corruption (IAAC) organized an event titled ‘A talk with friend’ at Sukhbaatar Square on June 1.

The event was organized for the first time in order to improve the public’ awareness against corruption. In addition to introducing ‘A talk with friend’ comic book, a program titled ‘I am an honest child’ aimed at promoting the idea of incorruptibility, nurturing honesty and setting examples for children was organized. Entertaining lessons on the topic of incorruptibility were held, expressing the idea through paintings, poetry, music and drama.

“A number of promoting events on hygiene and safety for children were organized by professional organizations, but no action has been taken to promote honest behavior. It is necessary for education organizations to conduct programs on incorruptibility and include such  topics to the curricula. In order to start this kind of action the IAAC published the comic book to promote the idea of incorruptibility to children,” said D.Dulamsuren, head of the National Anti-Corruption Program working group.

The event was co-organized by Children’s Palace, Union of Mongolian Pupil and other government and non-governmental organizations.
