State Secretary receives Vice Provost of Harvard

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ State Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports B.Bayarsaikhan received Mr. Mark Elliott, Vice Provost of International Affairs at the Harvard University.

A total of 100 national specialists were involved in the Training to  Teachers (T2T) programs by Harvard Medical School in 2017-2018 academic year. Mr. Mark Elliott noted that it is possible to organize similar programs and short-term trainings for the upcoming academic year.

State Secretary B.Bayarsaikhan emphasized that medical sector plays important role in national security, people’s lives and wellbeing. Thus, it is necessary to train experienced specialists in this field. Therefore, she expressed willingness to continue the T2T program and focus on solving the necessary financing.

Vice Provost Mark Elliott also mentioned that operations of the Mongolian Studies Center at the Harvard University established in 1956 are currently stopped. The parties exchanged views on cooperation opportunities in Mongolian Studies.
