U.S. Minister of Justice pays courtesy call on President Battulga

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ During his visit to the US, President of Mongolia Kh.Battulga met with the Minister of Justice and State Attorney General William Barr on August 3.

Present at the meeting were Attorney General of Mongolia B.Jargalsaikhan and Chief of Staff to the President Z.Enkhbold. At the beginning of the meeting, prosecutor’s offices of the two countries discussed improvement of cooperation and agreed to train personnel. 

According to Mongolia’s request, the US side expressed its readiness to assist Mongolia in tracking down and transferring movable and immovable properties in the US acquired with money in offshore accounts and by corrupt to the Mongolian side quickly and without any bureaucracy within the scopes of the United Nations Convention against Corruption.

It was concluded by both sides that the meeting was effective in ushering cooperation between the prosecutor’s offices of Mongolia and the US in a new phase. 

The US Minister of Justice and State Attorney General William Barr accepted the invitation to visit Mongolia.
