Continuation of KOSEN program in Mongolia discussed

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Minister of Education, Culture, Science and Sports Yo.Baatarbileg who is on a visit to Japan met with President of KOSEN National Institute of Technology Isao Taniguchi.

Within the framework of the cooperation, Minister Yo.Baatarbileg requested to continue implementing the KOSEN program in Mongolia and support the establishment of model colleges in Ulaanbaatar, Erdenet, Darkhan cities and Umnugobi aimag in the future. During the meeting, the authorities of Japanese Kosen community highlighted that 100 percent of the graduates from the program are employed.

It is planned to involve a total of 200 students in the program aimed at training professionals with high advanced knowledge and practical skills in technology. Currently, some 25 students graduated from the program, 88 are studying in Japan, 27 are in Kosen schools and 45 are in the first and second years of preparatory program.
