Rain and wet snow expected throughout the country this week

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The National Agency of Meteorology and Environment has issued a warning for strong winds in the Altai mountains as well as the Gobi and plains tomorrow on March 25.
Wind speed will be 14-16 m/sec in some parts of the country on March 25, and in the eastern region on March 28, and 16-18 m/sec in most parts of the country on March 26 and 27, reaching 24 m/sec at times.
Rain and wet snow are expected in mountainous areas of Altai, Khangai, and Khuvsgul, the banks of Orkhon-Selenge on March 25, in some parts of western aimags and eastern parts of eastern aimags on March 26, in most parts of central aimags, western parts of eastern aimags, and northern parts of Gobi aimags on March 27, and in most parts of eastern aimags on March 28.
With slight temperature drops in the western region on March 26, and in the eastern region on march 27, in the depression of Darkhad, in the head of Zavkhan river, and in the basin of Tes river, the temperature will range from -18 to -23 degrees Celsius during the night, and -2 to -7 during the day. In the depression of Uvs lake, in the mountainous areas of Khangai, Khuvsgul, and Khentei, and in the basins of Ider, Tuul, and Terelj rivers, the temperature will be -11 to -16 during the night, and +1 to -4 during the day.
In the southern parts of the Gobi, the night-time temperature will be +1 to -4 degrees Celsius, and daytime temperature will be +7 to +12 degrees Celsius.
In other areas, temperatures are expected to be -5 to -10 during the night, and +2 to +7 during the day. Warmer temperatures are expected in the western region from March 28.
