Mongolia-UK cooperation in education discussed

L.Enkh-Amgalan held a meeting with UK Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy to Mongolia,
MP Mr. Daniel Kawczynsk to discuss bilateral cooperation in education and
science.
Over 180 Mongolians have so far benefited from the UK’s Chevening
Scholarship Program and the Mongolian side aims to increase that number. Three
public and 22 private schools follow the Cambridge curriculum in Mongolia, said the Education
Minister, adding that there is a need to have schools that meet Cambridge
standards in the future.
Mr. Daniel Kawczynsk undertook to make investments and provide support in education as Mongolia is a major partner.
The sides agreed to discuss further expansion of bilateral
cooperation during the 14th Mongolia-UK Round Table to take place on May 10-12
in Ulaanbaatar and the Education World Forum to be held in London on May 22-25.
