State Secretary meets Ambassador-designate of Australia

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. On June 20, Secretary of State of the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs N. Ankhbayar met with Ambassador-designate of the Commonwealth
of Australia to Mongolia Katie Smith and received a copy of her Letter of
Credence.
During the meeting, the two sides noted that this year marks
the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between
Mongolia and Australia, and exchanged views on high-level reciprocal visits,
events and bilateral cooperation in the regional and international arenas.
Welcoming that the Memorandum of Understanding between the
Government of Mongolia and the Government of Australia on Work and Holiday Visa
Agreement will be entering into force on July 1, 2022, the two sides reaffirmed
their commitment to further supporting people-to-people exchanges and expanding
cooperation in agriculture, energy and education.
