Foreign Minister receives South Korean Ambassador

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On June 21, Minister of Foreign Affairs B.Battsetseg received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Mongolia Lee Yeo-hong.


Minister B.Battsetseg noted that the friendly relations and cooperation between Mongolia and the Republic of Korea have expanded in all fields and are now developing at the level of ‘Strategic Partnership’. He called on the Ambassador to pay special attention to the facilitation of visa requirements for Mongolian citizens traveling to South Korea for medical and humanitarian purposes, as well as the visa-free regime in the long run.


Ambassador Lee Yeo-hong thanked the Government of Mongolia for its generous decision to exempt South Korean citizens from visa requirements for travel over the next two years, and said that he would focus on facilitating visa requirements for Mongolian citizens traveling to South Korea and issuing multiple-entry visas.
