Youth development campaign kicks off

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The UN General Assembly adopted the World Programme of Action for Youth in 1995 and declared the August 12 International Youth Day. The Programme encourages youth around the world to organize activities to raise awareness about the situation of youth in their country.
This
year's theme for Youth Day is ‘Intergenerational Solidarity: Creating a World for
All Ages’, emphasizing the need for generations to work together in unity and
cooperation in order to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals and leave no
one behind.
Mongolia
has been officially celebrating Youth Day since 2003, and every year from
August 12 to September 25, Youth Development Campaign is organized throughout
the country. The opening of this year's month-long campaign was held at
the UN House in Ulaanbaatar today.
Deputy
Minister of Labor and Social Protection S.Zulpkhar introduced the plan to
support youth employment within the framework of the campaign, taking into
account the differences in age and employment service demand and needs, and
urged the youth to actively participate in the campaign.
