Deputy Foreign Ministers of Mongolia, China and Russia meet virtually
PoliticsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On August 30, a virtual consultation between the Deputy Foreign Ministers of
Mongolia, Russia, and China took place.
The meeting was co-chaired by Deputy Foreign
Minister of Mongolia B.Munkhjin, Vice Foreign Minister of China Ma Zhaoxu, and
Director of the First Asian Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry Zinoviev
Georgiy Venaminovich.
At the meeting, issues of maintaining the frequency of
trilateral dialogues, increasing their effectiveness, and intensifying the establishment
of the Mongolia-China-Russia economic corridor were discussed.
Although the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic adversely affected
the implementation of the economic corridor, the parties commended the active
cooperation of the sides.
At the meeting, Deputy Minister B.Munkhjin noted the importance
of uniting the efforts of the three parties in the fight against climate change
and coordinating activities in areas such as environmental protection and
afforestation.
