The HU’s “Rumble of Thunder” New Album Launch Event Held at Mongolian Embassy in the UKArt & Culture
/MONTSAME/. Together with The HU, the Embassy of Mongolia in the UK organized
“Rumble of Thunder” the new album launch event on December 8 in London.
The band was in the UK and Ireland at its final leg of the tour performing from November 30 to December 7, 2022 in Dublin, Manchester, Leeds, Nottingham, Cardiff, Birmingham, Belfast, and Glasgow.
In his opening speech, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the United Kingdom B. Enkhsukh highlighted that this renowned band pioneered the new music style - “Hunnu rock” and has been instrumental in promoting Mongolia’s wealth of culture and heritage and rich history through their songs and is helping to raise the country’s reputation.
In 2019, the band was conferred the Supreme Decoration of the Mongolian State, the Order of Chinggis Khaan, and was named UNESCO‘s Artist for Peace in November 2022, becoming the first rock band to receive this prestigious honor.
The HU first toured Britain and Europe in 2019 and released their first album “The Gereg”. With this event and the concert on December 9 at the Round House concert hall in London, the band closed its world tour for this year.
