Ulaanbaatar, April 27, 2026 /MONTSAME/. Team ‘Xac Broncos’ (Khasiin Khuleguud) won the National League Championship organized by the Mongolian Basketball Association (MBA) for 101 days.

A total of 239 games were played during the 2025–2026 season, with the “Xac Broncos” crowned champions. This makes them the only team in the history of the Mongolian basketball league to win 10 titles. They also matched their previous achievement of winning three consecutive championships, becoming the only team to accomplish a three-peat twice. Over the past 11 years, they have reached the finals seven times, winning seven gold medals and earning four silver medals.

Meanwhile, Honored Athlete Bilguun Battuvshin and International Master Sergelenbaatar Otgonbaatar of the Broncos have each now secured seven league titles, ranking first in league history. Additionally, Azbayar Altangerel was named the Most Valuable Player of the finals based on his outstanding all-around performance.

At just 20 years old, he has now won major awards, including Regular Season MVP, Finals MVP, and Best Defensive Player. This marks his third season in the league, and he has now lifted the championship trophy three times with his team.

On the other hand, the “Selenge Bodons,” featuring top players such as DeMarcus Cousins, Anand A., Enkhbaatar O., Delgernyam D., Dulguun E., and Jaden Scrubb, reached the league finals for the first time and claimed the silver medal. As a result, they have earned the right to compete in the Asian Champions League.

The Mongolian Basketball Association successfully organized all matches in accordance with international standards, concluding a season that identified the nation’s top basketball talents. Organizers noted that this season was particularly significant, as it not only showcased domestic competition but also opened pathways to the international stage. The association has taken an important step in advancing Mongolian basketball by enabling the women’s league champions to participate in the FIBA Asia Champions Cup, while the men’s champions will compete in two of Asia’s top leagues: EASL and BCL Asia.
