Students granted Khan Bank’s scholarship for 2015-2016 academic years

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Khan Bank has introduced names of 70 most promising students who were granted the bank’s scholarship for the 2015-2016 academic year.

The Scholarship Program for New Students announced among the senior students of high schools is one of the various contributions to the education sector made by the Khan Bank Foundation, a social responsibility implementer of Khan Bank.

The Khan Bank Scholarship Program for New Students, which has been implemented throughout the country for eight years since 2007, aims to provide financial support to senior students of high schools from 21 aimags of Mongolia, Zamyn-Uud, Zuunkharaa and three isolated districts of Ulaanbaatar - Bagakhangai, Nalaikh and Baganuur.

As a result of a three-stage selection conducted by the selection panel, which consisted of representatives from the bank, government agencies, educational organizations and citizens, 70 most promising students were awarded with the Khan Bank Scholarship for the 2015-2016 academic year.

The selection main criteria are based on the students’ outstanding academic performance, grade point average (GPA), financial capabilities and active involvement in social activities.

Khan Bank, a consistent supporter in the education sector, granted its scholarship to the students, who are leading others by their outstanding academic performance and active involvement in community activities, and encouraged their motivation to study further. Over the last eight years, Khan Bank has granted scholarship totaling MNT 610 million to 1,220 students through the Khan Bank Foundation.
