SocietyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A report of the Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology has said that the maximum precipitation was recorded in Tov aimag’s Zuunmod soum, while the maximum thickness of snow was registered at 17.4mm in March of this year.
In March 2016, Bayankhongor aimag aimag’s Jinst soum had the highest air temperature (23.0°C), whereas Zavkhan aimag’s Tsetsen-Uul soum had the lowest air temperature (-54.2°C). Maximum wind speed reached 29 m/sec in Gobi-Altai aimag’s Altai soum.
In the period, as measured by over 10 air quality monitoring stations, the average daily concentration of nitrogen dioxide and sulfur dioxide exceeded by 7-31 times, dust content with less than 2.5 micron exceeded 12-26 times and dust content with less than 10 micron have exceeded the maximum acceptable level by 10-28 times in the atmosphere of Ulaanbaatar.
