Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ On January 19, Environment and Tourism Minister N.Tserenbat met TIKA Representative to Mongolia Veysel Ciftci.

In the beginning, Veysel Ciftci said that last year TIKA implemented about 80 projects in education, health, infrastructure and improvement of meat standards in Mongolia. He expressed an interest to cooperate further with Mongolia in tourism and environment sectors.

He also informed that a construction work of a museum of Tonyukuk, ancient Turkic military leader, in 20km from Nalaikh district would commence this year, within a scope of some works agreed with previous Environment and Tourism Minister D.Oyunkhorol.

In addition, Veysel Ciftci informed of TIKA headquarter’s resolution that it is possible to distribute 1,000-2,000 electric heaters to Ulaanbaatar’s ger area households through the Ministry to reduce air pollution.

In response, N.Tserenbat said, “Mongolia developes a wide range of cooperation with TIKA. We are working to improve service standards of tourism sector, such as establishing modern hygienic facility and improving kitchen equipment.” He asked to study a possibility to build modern public hygienic facility within the project regarding Tonyukuk monument.

“ To reduce the Capital’s air pollution, we plan to distribute heaters partially by area," noted Minister N.Tserenbat proposing to distribute the electric heaters to be donated by TIKA to some 1700 households in Gandan ger area, central part of the capital.
