Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The Institute of Mathematics and Digital Technology of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences (MAS) will be cooperating with the Institute for System Dynamics and Control Theory of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences in creating an online monitoring system for the Khuvsgul Lake area and the system’s development.

In its framework, President of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences D.Regdel received Russian academician V.I.Bychkov on February 17.

The Russian academician is the Director of the Matrosov Institute for System Dynamics and Control Theory of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, who has previously led a comprehensive project on the online monitoring of Khuvsgul Lake, its testing methods, and technology. During the meeting, the MAS President was informed about the Russian institute’s operations as well as a brief introduction of the project results.

“The new project could yield significant results in matters involving public health alongside environment and ecology. Thus, the Mongolian Academy of Sciences will support the project by sharing the data and information that have been collected so far by our academy’s institutes. I believe that it is also necessary for the National University of Mongolia, the Mongolian University of Life Sciences, and the Mongolian National University of Medical Sciences to cooperate with the project works,” said MAS President D.Regdel.
