Information technology education to be provided to children

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Secretary of State of the Ministry of
Digital Development and Communications B.Bolor-Erdene received a delegation led
by Deputy Director of the International Cooperation Department of the KDDI
Foundation Mr. Kazunori Fujita.
During the meeting, they exchanged views on the ongoing project
in the field of digital development and communication and the projects that
will be implemented in the future, including “Providing information technology
education such as software and robotics to young children”.
The Ministry of Digital Development and Communications, with the
support of the Asia-Pacific Telecommunications Organization (APT), is working
to encourage new information and communication technologies, meet the growing
demand for information technology, introduce new solutions, and provide
information technology to remote areas. In cooperation with the KDDI Foundation
of Japan, the Ministry is implementing projects to install new technology
fiber-optic cables in sandy soils and cold zones, to provide Internet access to
consumers, and to transmit disaster information using FM radio in remote areas.
