Polish President Presents State Awards to Mongolians

Ulaanbaatar, April 27, 2023 /MONTSAME/. On April 26, President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Sebastian Duda granted state orders of Poland to Mongolian citizens who have made valuable contributions to the relations and cooperation between the two countries.



With Gold Order of the Cross of Merit:

Major Ganbold Azzaya, an expert of the General Staff of the Armed Forces. On February 18, 2004, while on patrol duty at Base Charlie in Al Hillah, Iraq, he intercepted a terrorist attack on the headquarters of the Multinational Division's Central-South Command, thus saving the lives of the Allies, including many Polish soldiers of the Second shift.



With Silver Order of the Cross of Merit:

Rentsendagva Dagva, Deputy Head of the Capital City Governor's Office for Digital Development, Legal Affairs, and Public Services. Actively works in expanding, developing, and strengthening cooperation between Ulaanbaatar and Warsaw.



With Bronze Order of the Cross of Merit:

Olonbayar Erdenetsogt, painter of the Mongolian Craftsmen's Union. Graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. Inspired by Poland's democratic transition, he reflects in his works the theme of humanity's search for freedom. In 1996 he presented his work "Aspirations and Obstacles," and in 2006 his solo exhibition at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland made a valuable contribution to the promotion of Polish art.
