Ulaanbaatar, March 14, 2025 /MONTSAME/. The "Museum Days" event was held nationwide under the theme "Regional Development and Patriotism" from March 7-13, 2025, offering free admission to visitors of all ages.

This year’s event was notable due to the celebration of Mongolia’s Lunar New Year (Tsagaan Sar) during which a replica of the Great Khaan’s Urgoo (The Royal Chamber) was exhibited at the Chinggis Khaan National Museum of Mongolia. Additionally, the museum displayed the Golden Statue of the Great Chinggis Khaan, the Sacred White Banner, and the Golden State Seal of the Mongol Empire Khasbuu, attracting a large number of visitors who came to pay their respects. During the “Museum Days” event, a total of 10,175 visitors attended the museum, including 3,983 adults, 2,910 children, 1,945 university students, 1,303 senior citizens, and 34 persons with developmental challenges.

Throughout the event, the entire museum staff worked to facilitate visitors' full experience, organizing “Learn in the Museum” educational programs, displaying museum publications and book exhibitions, and providing guided tours.

Furthermore, as part of the “Open Collection” event at the Chinggis Khaan National Museum, students specializing in history, archaeology, and cultural studies were given the opportunity to explore the museum’s educational and promotional collection, visit the conservation laboratory, and gain hands-on experience with restoration equipment. This event aimed to provide students with practical training and career guidance.
