The Peace Run torch is passing through Ulaanbaatar. The torch was relayed from Amgalanbaatar city of Hulunbuir province, Inner Mongolia, People’s Republic of China and crossed the Mongolian-Chinese border in Dornod aimag on May 31.

Bank of Mongolia launches gold campaign
The Bank of Mongolia (BoM) started a five-month campaign ‘National Gold to the Fund of Treasures’ under the ‘GOLD-2’ national program. The campaign is being co-organized by the BoM, its local branches and divisions, commercial banks, the Ministry of Mining and Heavy Industry, Mineral Resources and Petroleum Agency, Mongolian Agency for Standard and Metrology, government organizations and NGOs.

Ulaanbaatar Travel Expo opened at the National Garden Park on June 2. The expo  co-organized by the Ministry of Environment and Tourism, Ulaanbaatar city Tourism Department and Ulaanbaatar Tourism Association is aimed at developing domestic tourism, spreading information on opportunities to travel to the natural attractions of Mongolia and abroad at a reasonable cost and enhancing the knowledge of the local travelers on eco-friendly tourism.

The ‘Perpetual Melody’ exhibition of legendary artists’ portraits opened at the Best art gallery of the Union of Mongolian Artists on May 28.
