Brazilian cooperative experience to be shared in Mongolia
Mongolian Ambassador to Brazil Ch.Sosormaa handed over a letter from N.Enkhbold, the head of Mongolian National Cooperative Association to the head of the Brazilian National Confederation of Cooperatives, Marcio Lopes to visit Mongolia with a purpose of sharing experiences of Brazilian cooperatives. Mr. Marcio Lopes kindly accepted the invitation and expressed pleasure visiting Mongolia along with his colleagues and to hold a seminar on experiences' exchange with Mongolian counterparts later this year.

Raised three taxes come into effect today
Amendments to the 2017 State Budget laid out to raise seven types of taxes as the Government agreed with the International Monetary Fund in the scope of a three-year Extended Fund Facility. Tax rate increase of three types of taxes is coming into effect starting today, May 01. Those include tax on interest of bank savings, customs tax on imported cigarettes and excise tax on passenger cars.

On April 27, M.Enkhsaikhan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to Sweden presented his diplomatic credentials to Carl XVI Gustaf, King of Sweden. Following the ceremony of diplomatic credentials, Carl XVI Gustaf received Ambassador M.Enkhsaikhan. The latter conveyed greetings from Ts.Elbegdorj, President of Mongolia to the King of Sweden and expressed his willingness to endeavor to strengthen relations and cooperation between Mongolia and Sweden in all spheres of possibilities.

Cultural Festival of Nomads to be held on the shore of Ulaagchinii Khar Lake in Zavkhan aimag on July 23-25. Organizers, the tourism department of Zavkhan aimag and the Governor’s Office of the province have chosen the site, considering its unique natural beauty.

Mongolian athlete won ten-day race in New York
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/  A.Budjargal, Mongolian athlete won the Self-Transcendence Six and Ten-Day Races, international ultra marathon races. He completed 739 miles or 1189.30 km of distance for ten days. After him, Igori Mudrik took second place with 713 miles equal to 1147.46 km.

Exhibition of Mongolia and US children on display
A painting exhibition of children from Mongolia and the USA under the theme “Natural environment” is taking place at the American Cultural and Information Center in Ulaanbaatar from April 21 to May 11. On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the US, a drawing contest was announced among children aimed at creating a harmonious and friendly environment, and fostering youngsters and children's love for nature and mother earth. And over 60 selected paintings of 60 Mongolian and US children are being displayed at the exhibition.

Eco-friendly toilet facilities to be built in Khuvsgul Lake National Park
Integrated Livelihoods Improvement and Sustainable Tourism at Khuvsgul Lake National Park Project is being implemented with grants by the Asian Development Bank and Japan Fund for Poverty Reduction. Within the project, eco-friendly model toilet facilities are planned to be built at the Khuvsgul Lake National Park.
